Local legends Amarionette are back in the game: Guitarist Nick Raya talks with Lift To Fill about the future.

Through the years many bands of the Las Vegas scene have came and went but one of the few bands to live through all the tribulations of the scene is the great Amarionette. After some time off guitarist Nick Raya was nice enough to do a short interview with Lift To Fill about the future of the band and things to come.

LTF: How does it feel to finally be able to release everything you guys have been working on?

Nick: Dude. It feels fantastic. I haven’t been this stoked for music in such a long time if not ever. All of the songs we have been working have been really fun.
LTF: Thats sweet to hear! I know that everyone in the scene is just as excited that you guys have finally released what youve been working on. I saw that Quin came back as vocalist for you guys, can you tell me about that whole process?

Nick: We parted ways with Quin due to some personal differences between us all and we were working with another vocalist out in Newport Beach, Ca. However, it didn’t sound anything like Amarionette and we decided that if we were going to work with him we would have to completely start from scratch. We were all on board to do so, but after a while we really just missed Amarionette a lot and we decided to contact Quin to see if he was interested. Ultimately, he was and Quin and I got together, wrote a few songs, including Knock Knock and it jelled like normal.
However, Brandon is longer a touring member of Amarionette due to personal reasons that I am not willing to disclose, but he is still writing with me for Amarionette. As far as touring and shows go, I’m not sure what the future holds, but for right now he isn’t apart of it.
LTF: Its definitely great to see Quin back in the mix. Amarionette’s Self-titled album came out a few months ago and i have to say personally it was incredible. Id imagine being able to play those songs live with Quin is something you’re all looking forward to as well.
Also how was the feed back on that album.
Nick: Definitely! We missed playing all of our songs, man. That was one of the main reasons why decided to do this again. We feel like all of our songs have a lot of potential and we have had a great response to most of it. The new album also had great feedback. However, we released the album after Quin was already out of the band so it was really difficult to promote a product that we weren’t sure we were ever going to be able to use again. We are actually even thinking of a possible re release of the record.

LTF: Were all excited to see and hear these songs live! What does the future seem to hold for Amarionette in terms of Touring, New music, future plans in general?

Nick: We are still in the studio with Mike Sahm finishing up 2 more demos before he leaves Friday for Cali. We plan on doing some actual touring in the Spring again. Right now, we are just trying to write the best songs possible and really promote the shit out of our product. We feel like it has all of the potential in the world and people need to hear it!!
LTF: Sweet! Well thanks for the Q and A. Im really stoked to hear everything release.
Nick: No problem bro!
Go purchase Amarionette’s incredible self-titled album on iTunes! And listen to their brand new single “Knock Knock” on Youtube

Teenage Fantasy by Secret & Whisper

This album is pretty sweet album, took me while to listen to this but when I did I didn’t regret it. It’s a big movement from the last album, the great white whale. I’m really surprise this band isn’t as known as you think they would be.

Anyways check out this album if you haven’t already.
Or check them out if you listen to: Emarosa

Broadway announced that they are going to be releasing, pretty much, a second version of Kingdoms part 2.

Misha explains below, from a Facebook update.

“Hey what’s up guys. Misha here just wanting to clear up a few things. We actually have a page administrator that runs the Facebook in our off time but it seems he got a little overzealous in that last post.

I am very excited about this album, as it holds an idea and concept I came up with on my own and for six months carried to fruition (and yes Jake, Sean, Gabe and Felipe wrote all the music with me). It is literally, my baby. And when the time is right, I’m gonna show you guys all the goods, but until then, we have to be kind of mysterious about things because we have irons in the oven that aren’t quite ready to come out.

Our administrator wrote, “a return to Kingdoms” which is more than a little misleading. I’ve said before I would never make the same album twice, and I maintain that. However the material on this record, we feel, wont be as jarring a contrast to our first album as Gentleman’s Brawl was. And at the same time, Gentlemen’s Brawl fans will be more than pleased with what we’ve done. No ones getting left out in the rain for this one.

I don’t want to create any unnecessary confusion around this album due to how important it is to me personally. For this reason I will now personally be handling all posting and communication from this page from now on. I look for to hearing from you guys, and showing you what I’ve been tinkering on in 2013.

Thanks fam - Misha”
